Magnet® Cat Litter Manufacturer

Mixed Formula

Bentonite Cassava Cat Litter Manufacturer & Supplier

Clay bentonite cat litter sells on price. It also sticks to the litter box, throws dust, and controls odor poorly. Blending it 1:1 with our cassava cat litter fixes all three without giving up the price position.

Magnet® produces bentonite cassava mixed cat litter at our own plants in Qingdao and Tay Ninh. It is built for distributors and brands who need a value-tier SKU that performs better than the clay litter it sits next to on shelf — available in bulk, with private label packaging and a custom blend ratio.

Clay bentonite and cassava mixed cat litter granules

Clay bentonite

Low cost per tonne, hard clump, familiar to every clay buyer on shelf.

Cassava litter

Non-stick surface, near-zero dust, 99.2% odor control on the cassava component.

1:1 blend

Clay economics with cassava performance. The value-tier SKU that stops losing to premium.

The reasoning

Why Blend Bentonite and Cassava?

Clay bentonite cat litter is popular because it is cheap. The complaints are always the same three: it cakes onto the bottom of the litter box, it raises dust every time the tray is filled, and its odor control fades fast. Mixing cassava into it at a 1:1 ratio addresses each of those directly. Blending clay and cassava cat litter this way gives retailers a clay alternative cat litter that still prices like clay, and the measured gains are these.

0 Sticking to the litter box

The cassava fraction keeps clumps off the tray floor, so cleaning stops being the product's weak point.

−50% Dust

Half the dust of straight bentonite, which is the complaint that drives clay buyers to switch away.

+90% Odor control

Cassava starch absorbs odor rather than letting the clay simply trap it and release it later.

Figures compare the 1:1 blend against straight clay bentonite litter.

Positioning

Who Buys Clay Cassava Cat Litter

This is a value-tier product with premium-tier complaints removed. Buyers usually reach a clay cassava cat litter supplier for one of four reasons, and there are three situations where the blend is the wrong call.

A good fit for

  • Distributors defending a price point. You keep the clay-tier landed cost while the product stops losing head-to-head comparisons.
  • Supermarket and mass retail. Shoppers already recognise clay litter; this upgrades performance without asking them to learn a new material.
  • Brands bridging to plant-based. A hybrid cat litter lets you move customers off pure clay gradually instead of asking them to jump.
  • Markets where clay is entrenched. In regions where plant litter is still unfamiliar, a mixed clay cassava cat litter sells where pure cassava will not.

Not the right fit for

  • Fully biodegradable claims. Half of this product is mineral clay. If your brand needs a 100% plant-based label, order cassava or tofu instead.
  • Flushable positioning. The clay fraction does not break down in water, so this blend should not be labelled flushable.
  • Lightweight freight savings. Clay is heavy. If freight cost per litre is your main driver, tofu is the material to look at.

Private Label & OEM Bentonite Cassava Cat Litter

A blend is only useful if the ratio can move. As the factory rather than a trading company, we set the bentonite-to-cassava ratio against your target cost, not against a fixed recipe — which is the practical difference between us and a clay cassava cat litter supplier who buys finished goods.

  • Custom blend ratio. More clay to hit a lower price, more cassava to hit a performance claim — every clay cassava mixed cat litter order is set to your target.
  • Flexible MOQ. Wholesale MOQ is 10 tons, roughly one 20GP. Mixed containers accepted.
  • Free packaging design. Artwork prep and print production handled here.
  • Certification support. SGS, ISO, TÜV, CTI and MSDS issued for your shipment.
  • Quality terms in the contract. Inspection available at any point in the run.
  • Retail-ready or bulk. Printed retail bags, neutral packaging or bulk woven sacks.
  • Other combinations. Custom mixed cat litter beyond this blend — walnut shell with cassava, tofu with cassava, or your own brief.

Inside the factory

How We Manufacture Clay Cassava Cat Litter

Bentonite and cassava cat litter are produced separately, then combined at the blending stage — which is what lets us change the ratio per order without retooling a line.

  1. Bentonite intake & screening

Clay graded and screened to remove fines before it enters the blend.

  2. Cassava production

Corn and cassava starch granulated at 0.5–3 mm, dried and de-dusted.

  3. Ratio blending

Combined at 1:1 as standard, or at the ratio your order specifies.

  4. Homogenising

Blended until the mix is consistent, so every scoop performs the same.

  5. Quality control

Clumping, dust and odor performance checked per batch against contract specification.

  6. Packing

Filled, sealed and palletised in your packaging.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is bentonite cassava cat litter?

Clay bentonite litter blended with cassava-based litter, at 1:1 as standard. The clay supplies the hard clump and the low cost; the cassava removes the sticking, halves the dust and lifts odor control.

Why mix clay with cassava instead of selling them separately?

Because the two materials fail in opposite places. Clay is cheap but sticks, dusts and controls odor poorly. Cassava fixes all three but costs more per tonne. Blending them produces a value-tier SKU that outperforms the clay litter it competes with while staying close to clay pricing.

How much better is the blend than straight clay litter?

Against straight bentonite: no sticking to the litter box, 50% less dust, and 90% better odor control. Clump hardness stays at clay level.

Can the blend ratio be changed?

Yes. 1:1 is standard, but we set the ratio against your target cost and performance. More clay lowers the price; more cassava raises the performance claim you can print on the bag.

Is clay cassava cat litter biodegradable or flushable?

Partially biodegradable — the cassava fraction breaks down, the bentonite fraction does not. It should not be labelled flushable or 100% plant-based. If you need those claims, order pure cassava or tofu litter instead.

What is in the cassava component?

60% food-grade corn starch and 40% food-grade cassava starch, granulated at 0.5–3 mm. No guar gum, no calcium carbonate or stone filler, no added fragrance, baking soda or activated charcoal.

What is the MOQ for bulk bentonite cassava cat litter?

Wholesale MOQ is 10 tons, roughly one 20GP container. Mixed containers are accepted, so you can combine the blend with cassava, tofu or corn within that quantity.

Can you produce private label bentonite cassava cat litter?

Yes — full OEM and ODM. Your logo, blend ratio, bag size and artwork. Packaging design is included, and we provide SGS, ISO, TÜV, CTI and MSDS documentation for customs.

Can I order samples before committing to a container?

Yes. Trial sample orders are welcome. If you are comparing ratios, tell us and we will send more than one so you can test them side by side.

Which ports do you ship from?

Qingdao for China production and Ho Chi Minh City for our Vietnam plant. Vietnam origin is available where tariff treatment matters for your market.
