Why Stock Tofu Cat Litter
Tofu is the volume material in plant-based litter, and the reasons are commercial as much as technical.
Freight is the real saving
At roughly a third of clay's weight per litre, a container carries far more sellable volume. For long-haul importers this usually outweighs every other consideration.
Flushable and biodegradable
Granules break down in water, so used clumps can go down the toilet where plumbing allows. A claim clay cannot make and shoppers actively look for.

Dust at 1% or below
Screened and de-dusted in line before packing, so the figure holds at the point the product reaches the customer rather than at the granulator.

Cylindrical vs Crushed Tofu
The granule shape decides more than it looks like it should. Crushing raises surface area, which raises absorption from 300% to 400% and changes how the litter feels underfoot.

Raw material intake

What is tofu cat litter made of?

Is tofu cat litter flushable?

Can you develop a custom formula?
Yes. Our R&D team adjusts granule size and shape, binder ratio, clumping speed, colour and scent. Tofu is the most flexible material we produce and the quickest to adapt. Samples of a new formulation take 2 to 3 weeks.
