Mixed Formula

Mixed Formula Cat Litter Manufacturer & Wholesale Supplier

Every litter material fails somewhere. Tofu sticks to the tray and clumps weakly. Walnut shell has excellent odor control but barely clumps at all. Clay bentonite is the cheapest and the dustiest. Each of those is a real complaint that costs you repeat purchase.

Cassava has none of those failure modes — 613% absorption, 99.2% odor control, 100% dust-free. So we use it as the correction layer. Blend cassava into a base material at the right ratio and the base keeps its advantage while its weakness goes away. That is what every mixed cat litter in our range does.

The reasoning

Why Blend Cat Litter Materials?

A single-material litter forces you to accept its weakness along with its strength. Blending removes that trade-off, and it does something reformulation cannot: it lets us tune one product against your target cost without changing what the product fundamentally is.

  • Fix a specific complaint. If your current SKU loses reviews over dust or sticking, a blend addresses it without abandoning the material your customers already recognise.
  • Hit a price point a pure material cannot. Ratio is a cost lever. More base lowers landed cost; more cassava raises performance.
  • Differentiate without new tooling. A custom ratio is exclusive to you and needs no new production line or long development cycle.
  • Bridge customers between tiers. Blends move buyers from clay toward plant-based gradually instead of asking them to jump.
Standard blends

Our Three Standard Mixed Cat Litter Formulas

Three blends we produce as standard. Any of them can be re-ratioed, and as a mixed cat litter manufacturer we develop new combinations on request. Every wholesale mixed cat litter order below ships at the same container MOQ.

Tofu and cassava mixed cat litter
Tofu + Cassava · 1:1

Tofu & Cassava Mixed

Keeps tofu's eco credentials and flushability while fixing its weak points. No sticking, −50% dust, +80% clumping strength, +90% odor control, and no extra tracking.

Walnut shell and cassava mixed cat litter
Walnut shell + Cassava · 3:7

Walnut Shell & Cassava Mixed

Walnut's honeycomb structure gives strong natural odor absorption but weak clumping. Cassava supplies the clump. Stronger odor control, −70% dust, +90% clumping, no sticking. 100% plant-based.

Clay bentonite and cassava mixed cat litter
Clay bentonite + Cassava · 1:1

Clay Bentonite & Cassava Mixed

The value-tier blend. Keeps clay's cost advantage while removing the sticking, halving the dust and lifting odor control by 90%. Partially biodegradable — the cassava half only.

Custom development

Custom Mixed Cat Litter Formulas

The three blends above are where most buyers start. They are not the limit. Because we produce every base material ourselves, a custom mixed cat litter is a blending decision rather than a sourcing project.

  • Re-ratio an existing blend. Shift a 1:1 toward the base to cut cost, or toward cassava to raise the performance claim you can print on the bag.
  • Combine other materials. Corn, wheat straw and walnut shell can all be blended. Tell us the failure mode you want fixed.
  • Add a functional layer. Health-monitoring indicator granules or a custom fragrance can be blended into any base.
  • Test more than one ratio. We send multiple sample ratios so you can compare side by side before committing a container.

Manufacturing partnership

Private Label & OEM Mixed Cat Litter

A blend is only useful if the ratio can move. As a mixed cat litter factory rather than a trading company, we set the ratio against your target cost, not against a fixed recipe — which is the practical difference between us and a mixed cat litter supplier who buys finished goods.

  • Custom ratio per order. The blend is set at production, so making it yours costs nothing extra.
  • Flexible MOQ. Wholesale MOQ is 10 tons, roughly one 20GP. Mixed containers accepted.
  • Free packaging design. Artwork prep and print production handled here.
  • Certification support. SGS, ISO, TÜV, CTI and MSDS issued for your shipment.
  • Quality terms in the contract. Inspection available at any point in the run.
  • Retail-ready or bulk. Printed retail bags, neutral packaging or bulk woven sacks.

Inside the factory

How We Manufacture Mixed Cat Litter

Base materials are produced separately and combined at the blending stage. That is what lets us change a ratio per order without retooling a line, and it is why a custom blend carries no development premium.

  1. Base material production

Tofu, walnut shell or bentonite prepared to its own standard specification.

  2. Cassava production

Corn and cassava starch granulated at 0.5–3 mm, dried and de-dusted.

  3. Ratio blending

Combined at the standard ratio, or at the ratio your order specifies.

  4. Homogenising

Blended until the mix is consistent, so every scoop from the bag performs the same.

  5. Quality control

Clumping, dust and odor performance checked per batch against contract specification.

  6. Packing

Filled, sealed and palletised in your packaging.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is mixed formula cat litter?

Two litter materials blended at a set ratio so that one compensates for the other's weakness. In our range cassava is always the correcting material: it has no significant failure mode of its own, so blending it into tofu, walnut shell or clay lifts whatever that base does poorly.

Why is cassava in all three blends?

Because it is the only material in our range with no weak point to design around — 613% absorption, 99.2% odor control and 100% dust-free. It supplies clumping strength, kills dust and stops sticking. That makes it the natural correction layer whatever the base is.

Can the blend ratio be changed?

Yes, on any blend. Standard ratios are 1:1 for tofu-cassava and clay-cassava, 3:7 for walnut-cassava. We set the ratio against your target cost and the performance claim you want to make. Ratio is decided at blending, so a custom ratio carries no development premium.

Which blend should I choose?

Start from the failure you are trying to fix. Losing reviews over sticking and clumping on a tofu SKU, go tofu-cassava. Selling walnut and hearing about dust, go walnut-cassava. Defending a clay price point against better-performing rivals, go clay-cassava. If you are unsure, tell us your market and price point and we will recommend one.

Are the blends biodegradable and flushable?

Tofu-cassava is fully plant-based and flushable. Walnut-cassava is 100% plant-based but should not be labelled flushable. Clay-cassava is only partially biodegradable, because half of it is mineral clay, and must not be labelled flushable or 100% plant-based.

Can you develop a blend that is not on this page?

Yes. Corn, wheat straw and walnut shell can all be blended, and indicator granules or a custom fragrance can be added to any base. Describe the problem you want solved rather than the recipe, and our R&D team will propose a formula.

What is the MOQ for bulk mixed cat litter?

Wholesale MOQ is 10 tons, roughly one 20GP container. Mixed containers are accepted, so you can carry more than one blend, or a blend alongside single-material litters, within that quantity.

Can you produce private label mixed cat litter?

Yes — full OEM and ODM. Your logo, blend ratio, bag size and artwork. Packaging design is included, and we provide SGS, ISO, TÜV, CTI and MSDS documentation for customs.

Can I test more than one ratio before ordering?

Yes, and we recommend it. Trial samples at two or three ratios let you judge cost against performance with the actual product in front of you rather than on paper.

Which ports do you ship from?

Qingdao for China production and Ho Chi Minh City for our Vietnam plant. Vietnam origin is available where tariff treatment matters for your market.
